Program Manager
About the role
This Leader will define the program architecture and drive successful project/program execution globally. The role will develop, organize, and motivate a highly skilled cross-functional team, create and drive go-to-market strategy, and ensure successful commercial launch. This high-visibility leadership position involves frequent presentations across various levels.
Executes projects of medium scale and moderate complexity by leading cross-functional teams. Analyzes development situations and data with in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, influences solutions to business or technical problems, and communicates strategic and technical direction for the project/program team. Demonstrates a working knowledge of business and market growth drivers, influencing business case development.
Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional team, including R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Medical, and Manufacturing resources in managing and executing projects in support of global medical products.
- Collaborate with the global platform leadership team, including reviewing portfolio projects and managing priorities.
- Lead and support execution of technical and/or cross-functional project work.
- Support the portfolio of current products in terms of quality, regulatory compliance, manufacturing, and supply continuity.
- Ensure implementation and rigor of product development processes and design control procedures.
- Demonstrate strong and clear accountability for operational and program success.
- Demonstrate leadership, learning agility, and action orientation when facing uncertainty.
- Motivate the team to achieve individual and program objectives.
- Foster the development of team members to excel in their performance, both functionally and cross-functionally.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation by proactively generating novel concepts to improve current product performance or enhance products’ ability to address customer needs.
- Ensure compliance with BD quality policies, procedures, and practices.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in program management (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex information.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- PMP Certification.
- Experience working in a regulated industry, specifically the medical device industry.
- Ability to travel ~10%.
Location
Primary work locations: San Diego, CA; Brea, CA; or Franklin Lakes, NJ. This role requires a minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week. Employment is contingent upon proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or availability/testing in some locations. Accommodation requests will be considered pursuant to applicable law.

Pay
Salary range: $129,600.00 - $207,400.00 USD Annual.
