About the role

Apogee is seeking a Program Manager to support the Program Executive Office for Nuclear Command, Control, Communications Common Very Low Frequency (VLF) Receiver (CVR) Increment 2 via the Nuclear Networks Division (NCN). This position is located at Hanscom Air Force Base, Bedford, MA, with the AFNWC/NC3 Integration Directorate, which provides acquisition and administrative support to the Program Executive Office and staff for all NC divisions, branches, and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of systems acquisition and program management principles, policies, and practices as defined in DoDI 5000.02, AFI 63-101/20-101, and DoD/Air Force roles and relationships.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative techniques to gather, analyze, and measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition, sustainment, or modification programs.
  • Assess program schedule and cost baselines, recommend solutions to problems, and pursue alternative courses of action.
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing, producing high-quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, plans, reports, etc.).
  • Plan, research, analyze, and assess system acquisition for development, production, deployment, and sustainment of weapons systems and equipment; formulate plans and recommend strategies to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
  • Develop and support acquisition and sustainment reports, including statutory and regulatory reports (e.g., Defense Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES), Monthly Activity Report (MAR)).
  • Support program management reviews, senior-level meetings, IMP/IMS reviews, and develop briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks for senior management.
  • Understand funding types, budgets, and the Central Asset Management (CAM) process.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must have and be able to maintain a Top-Secret level clearance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of directly related experience; three (3) years of relevant work experience preferred.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, on-site position located at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA. Up to 10% CONUS travel may be required.

Pay

USD $145,000.00 – USD $155,000.00 per year.
