Job Summary

Supervisory responsibility for overall management, program implementation, and supervision of a specified component: administratively responsible for the program, policies, operations, and related matters; including the continued development of the behavioral health program, implementation, and delivery of program objectives. Personnel responsibilities include justification, recruiting, selecting, training, and recommending hiring and firing. Work requires a basic concern for the quality of care, a concern for helping the substance abuser, a belief in human potential for growth, and a willingness to coordinate and work cooperatively.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the planning, coordinating, supervising, and overall management of work associated with daily supervision of program operations, including management of performance measures, financials, personnel, and resolving urgent and emergent issues before, during, and after hours. Report any issues to the Divisional Director/Vice President of Prevention Intervention Strategies.
  • Ensure program operations, services, and personnel remain in compliance with contracts, licensing/grant requirements, and with federal, state, local, and organizational rules, regulations, and policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate as required with grant proposals and community activities.
  • Prepare and submit program reports, organizational reports, and other status and compliance reports as requested by the Divisional Director/Administrator or other designated supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Attend department, supervisory, and contract-required meetings/calls, and disseminate information to staff as necessary for them to perform their job functions.
  • Identify sufficient staffing patterns, define job requirements, train, and evaluate staff.
  • Supervise and manage time off requests, timecards, overtime, and sufficient coverage in the assigned department.
  • Ensure employees and programs are prepared for federal, state, and accrediting entity inspections and audits at all times.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly file reviews to ensure compliance of client records with the statement of work and quality treatment practices.
  • Assist with screenings, assessments, intakes, and individual and group counseling services as needed, including carrying a caseload when warranted.
  • Represent the organization by speaking before the public on substance use and/or mental health, education, prevention, and treatment.
  • Maintain good work habits through timeliness and low absenteeism; be punctual at all times.
  • Take initiative to identify and analyze problems; generate alternative solutions.
  • Carry out any and all other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of Aliviane Inc.
  • Understand, accept, implement, and promote Aliviane Inc.'s mission statement, program/department goals, philosophy, and objectives.
  • Serve as a role model for employees, clients, and community partners.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership qualities and ability to work under stressful situations; ability to react to emergency situations appropriately and effectively when required.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead and teach others in making effective changes; strong analytic qualities to analyze goals, programs, and processes.
  • Demonstrate the ability to maintain effective channels of communication with the organization, other programs, state agencies, clients, and visitors.
  • Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills and the ability to negotiate between diverse perspectives.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft computer programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet usage.
  • Willingness to network and participate in other community service agency projects, speak before, and become a member of work-related organizations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field with at least three to five (3-5) years' experience in supervision and providing services to the program target population.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in supervision.
  • Any combination of education and experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties listed.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in the department.
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees per company policy.
