Position Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of the NCI K12 Calabresi grant, including application support, budget development, fund tracking, compliance monitoring, reporting, and ongoing administration.
  • Liaise with Calabresi Scholars on annual progress reports; track publications; and coordinate NIH Scholar appointment and termination forms, EPAFs, and MMC intercharge requests.
  • Staff internal and external boards, committees, and meetings related to governance, oversight, and program management for the K12 Calabresi grant.
  • Facilitate the scheduling of all K12 Calabresi meetings and lead meeting preparation by collecting, refining, finalizing, and distributing all supporting materials.
  • Manage, facilitate and participate in meetings for MECCC and Department of Oncology.
  • Oversee and proactively manage the Chair of the Department of Oncology’s calendar, coordinating high-level meetings, aligning schedules across departments, and ensuring priorities are effectively supported.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports, presentations, data tables, and spreadsheets to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain and update all Department of Oncology websites, including the Verma Lab website and the Chair’s professional webpage.
  • Cook up the Chair’s faculty meeting schedule and partner with the Department Administrator to prepare and distribute supporting materials, including financial and HR reports.
  • Manage the coordination of appointments, reappointments, and promotions for Verma Laboratory staff, including interview scheduling, documentation compilation, and ensuring compliance with institutional requirements; assist with candidate searches, including developing and posting recruitment materials.
  • May also support these processes for the Department of Oncology.
  • Work directly with the Department Administrator and Deputy Director for Administration to prepare and submit the Department of Oncology’s annual budget; assist in preparing financial information for faculty.
  • Support other projects/duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and prior related experience will be considered.
  • Proven experience in planning and implementing collaborative initiatives across matrix’ed programs and institutions.

  • May be required to work independently and produce quality work from conception to completion on assigned projects

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is listed below. Albert Einstein College of Medicine considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. Minimum Salary Range USD $75,000.00/Yr. Maximum Salary Range USD $81,000.00/Yr.
