About the Role

As a Program Manager in AFSG’s Strategic Delivery Office (SDO), you will lead AFSG’s broad data programs from the business side. You will partner with the Enterprise Change Office (ECO), the Enterprise Data Office (EDO), AFSG Technology, and AFSG business areas to turn enterprise and technology initiatives into clear plans, timely decisions, and well-supported transitions for those who depend on AFSG data daily. This role requires strong traditional program management skills and data and reporting fluency to ask the right questions. You will manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, leading through influence across teams you don’t directly manage. Success is measured by business outcomes and user productivity, not just task completion.

Responsibilities

  • Set up plans, governance, and cadence for multiple workstreams.
  • Lead through influence across cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure business outcomes and user productivity are achieved.
  • Partner with ECO, EDO, AFSG Technology, and business areas to drive initiatives.
  • Turn complex inventories and open questions into actionable decisions with clear ownership and timelines.
  • Build and execute change management, communication, and readiness plans for business users.
  • Identify risks and dependencies early, presenting options and recommendations.
  • Communicate technical trade-offs in business terms to diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of project or program management experience, including leading large, multi-team business and technology initiatives.
  • 4+ years managing people, fostering growth, and aligning direct reports to program objectives.
  • Experience leading data, analytics, or reporting programs (e.g., platform migrations, modernization, data product rollouts).
  • Fluency in traditional program planning: integrated plans, milestones, critical path, dependency maps, RAID logs, decision logs, and readiness gates.
  • Comfort working alongside agile engineering teams and their backlogs.
  • Understanding of how analytical reporting depends on underlying data, including operational vs. analytical data.
  • Experience building and executing change management and communication plans for business users.
  • Ability to influence senior and executive leaders while collaborating effectively with analysts, report developers, and engineers.
  • Strong communication skills, explaining technical concepts in business terms.

Qualifications

  • Asset management or financial services experience (preferred).
  • Experience in a service organization (e.g., contact center, transfer agency, recordkeeping, shared services) and understanding of change impact on service levels, client experience, and associates (preferred).

Pay

Southern California Base Salary Range: $159,354–$254,966
San Antonio Base Salary Range: $131,003–$209,605
Indianapolis Base Salary Range: $139,539–$223,262

In addition to a competitive base salary, you’ll be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, Capital’s annual profitability bonus, and a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.

Benefits

  • Generous time-away and health benefits from day one.
  • Flexible work options.
  • 2-for-1 matching gifts for charitable contributions and annual grants for supported organizations.
  • On-demand professional development resources.
