About the role
This position provides leadership and managerial oversight for an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. The ACT team is a multidisciplinary team that provides a wide array of services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and dual disorders. ACT services are provided in the community and include, but are not limited to: mental health counseling, substance use counseling, skill building, medication management, budgeting, healthcare practices, and accessing community resources.
Core responsibilities
- Provide supervision and oversight to a multidisciplinary team, including: Community Support Specialist, Nurses (RNs and LPNs), Substance Use Specialist, Employment Specialist, Peer Support Specialist
- Lead daily organizational staff meetings to review each client's status and ensure coordinated, shared-caseload service delivery across the team, consistent with ACT fidelity standards
- Maintain appropriate staff-to-client ratios and ensure the team delivers the full range of services directly, rather than through outside referral
- Ensure the majority of client contacts take place in community settings rather than the office, in accordance with ACT fidelity guidelines
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing supervision of ACT team members to maintain a fully staffed, fidelity-compliant team
- Ensure services are time-unlimited and individualized to support each client's recovery goals
- Career development and professional growth
- Coordinate with hospitals, crisis services, and community partners to support continuity of care during admissions, discharges, and transitions
- Assessment and treatment planning
- Provide individual mental health and substance use counseling
- Maintain 24-hour responsibility for on-call coverage and support to team members on call

- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Well versed in Rule 132/140 and SUPR 2060/2090
Education and experience
- Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field
- LPC or LSW licensure required; LCPC or LCSW licensure preferred
- Valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation, and proof of current automobile insurance required
