Program Manager 2
About the role
The Program Manager 2 will lead the execution of Air Force and Missile Defense Strategic Systems projects, focusing on ICBM technology and strategic systems modernization. This role requires managing complex projects and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Own overall program execution, meeting cost, schedule, and technical performance targets.
- Develop and implement resource allocation plans.
- Recruit, retain, and develop key talent for the business.
- Manage and control all phases of projects/programs from inception to completion.
- Act as primary customer contact, manage project teams, and lead review sessions.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain organization to manage suppliers and monitor performance.
- Identify, assess, and apply appropriate actions for project/program opportunities, risks, and issues.
- Establish strong customer partnerships and balance ongoing needs and expectations.
- Create new business or expand existing products/technologies with customers.
- Lead the team to maintain a positive, inclusive environment.
- Deploy appropriate quality control and quality assurance processes.
- Coordinate win strategy, competitive captures, and compliant proposals.
- Manage all phases of the business cycle in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure effective oral and written communications to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide leadership oversight for the team.
Requirements
Advanced knowledge of project/program management tools and processes such as Earned Value Management (EVMS), Integrated Master plan (IMP)/Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and/or Opportunity/Risk/Issue Management. Experience working on government projects/programs with direct customer interfaces, both internal and external. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related technical field preferred. 7 years professional experience in project/program management in commercial or defense industry required.
Qualifications
Active Top Secret Clearance is required. Ability to travel up to 50% of time. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications. Knowledge and proven track record of successful business interaction.

Pay
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000.00 - $275,000.00. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Full-time position. The role may require up to 50% travel.
