Program Management Specialist, Senior
About the role
As a program management specialist, you know the complexities of supporting a project from concept to completion. Many programs require a significant investment of limited resources, and it’s imperative to keep the project on a productive path. That’s why we need you, an experienced program management specialist who can help ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain organizational programs in support of our Space portfolio.
- Work with key stakeholders to review risks, assist in the management of contracts, and track project costs.
- Help with tactical planning and regularly interact with customers, software engineers, AI/ML SMEs, and program managers.
- Communicate complex ideas to senior government and corporate leadership through briefing reports.
- Use project management tools like PowerPoint to communicate complex ideas.
- Anticipate operational needs by proactively identifying gaps and creating structural solutions, such as workflow templates, tracking tools, and dynamic dashboards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience supporting Department of War or industry information technology programs.
- 3+ years of experience in technical project management or operations, including supporting highly self-sufficient technical teams.
- Experience using project management tools, including PowerPoint to communicate complex ideas.
- Knowledge of Agile, SAFe, and Lean Portfolio Management practices.
- Ability to self-start, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple organizations and teams, author briefing, and formulate responses to data calls.
Qualifications
- Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree.
Skills
- Experience preparing and delivering briefing reports to senior government and corporate leadership.
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Visio, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Ability to listen to technical and architectural discussions, follow the thread, and extract the program-level impact.
- Ability to leverage industry best practices and implement those practices within our Booz Allen team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Top Secret clearance.
- Program Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Release Train Engineer (RTE), ITIL 4 Foundation Certification.
Benefits
The estimated compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
