Program Facilitator - Special Education & Behavior Intervention

About the role

Throughout the course of the school day, you will:

• Support the Special Education Teacher with carrying out lesson plans/activities to help students reach their academic goals.
• Assist the student with physical tasks such as using the restroom, hand washing, and daily living.
• Support students by carrying out behavioral strategies (Applied Behavior Analysis), including:
  • Proactive & Reactive Strategies
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Collect behavioral data based on each student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)
• Assist with transportation of students between school and home door-to-door, and during community-based instruction.
• Establish and maintain appropriate interactions with students.
• Maintain a professional attitude and consistent respect towards the students.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent – required
• One or more years of experience with children (childcare/special needs) – preferred
• OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or minimum of 4 years of active military duty – preferred

  • Tier 1: $500 increase
  • Tier 2: $2000 increase
  • Tier 3: $2500 increase

$18.27–$21.00 per hour
