Under the supervision of the Senior Data Analyst, the Program Evaluation Associate will turn data into information and information into insight. Will use people-driven, data-informed decision making to promote continuous quality improvement across all Carole Robertson Center for Learning programs and demonstrate the Center's quality and impact to funders.
Responsibilities
- Collecting and Maintaining Data
- Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources (including classroom observations that may occur outside of typical working hours);
- Designing, formatting, modifying, and updating data files;
- Developing and implementing databases, and other strategies that optimize efficiency and quality;
- Managing program evaluation cycles, including certification processes for staff and third party trainers;
- Filtering and "cleaning" data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct inconsistencies;
- Locating and defining new process improvement opportunities;
- Utilizing Qualtrics, Looker Studio, and Google Sheets/Excel for data collection and visualization;
- Learning new software and processes as they become available;
- Analyzing Data
- Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in simple data sets as it relates to individual student outcomes and staff performance;
- Creating user-friendly reports to assist in data-driven decision making and track over-time shifts, inclusive of attendance data, incident report data, etc.;
- Presenting Data
- Developing reports and presenting out (weekly basis or as needed) to program colleagues;
- Working effectively with staff from various areas of responsibility;
- Attending and supporting, and leading as appropriate, training sessions and site meetings;
- Interpreting and reviewing assessment data with administrators and teachers, supporting planning of action steps;
- Playing a critical role in supporting all Carole Robertson Center for Learning program assessment efforts.
Requirements
- Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy;
- Intermediate knowledge of and experience using Excel and/or Google Sheets for analyzing datasets;
- Experience with queries, report writing, and presenting findings;
- Ability to gain working knowledge of various assessment and program evaluation tools (SEL-PQA, SAYO-S, KIDS, CLASS);
- Ability to gain working knowledge of Chicago Early Learning Standards, NAEYC accreditation standards, and Office of Head Start;
- Demonstrated oral and written skills;
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to multi-task with attention to detail;
- Ability to oversee multiple concurrent projects effectively and ability to work well under tight deadlines;
- Knowledge of quality management and systems thinking;
- Self-motivated and able to work in a quick-paced environment;
- Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and requirements;
- Minimum of a BA;
- Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.
