About the role
This position involves leading technical initiatives within an autonomous defense systems team, focusing on creating reliable, high-performance solutions for military air defense applications.
Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to gather insights, align objectives, and influence the engineering roadmap.
- Own technical outcomes by understanding system performance, driving product development, and representing systems to clients.
- Coordinate between engineering, operations, and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions efficiently.
- Translate strategic goals into actionable projects, set milestones, and oversee resource allocation.
- Execute broad requirements autonomously, shaping project scope and maintaining high ownership.
- Support technical proposals, scope projects, and drive technical growth opportunities.
Requirements
- 5+ years in autonomous systems, robotics, or software engineering leadership roles.
- Experience with configuration management, release processes, and operational security frameworks.
- Ability to convert operational challenges into clear technical requirements and drive issue resolution.
- Strong communication skills, stakeholder management, and team leadership capabilities.
- Knowledge of security controls, risk management, and system security documentation.
- Proficiency with tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
