Program Engineer

About the role

This position involves leading technical initiatives within an autonomous defense systems team, focusing on creating reliable, high-performance solutions for military air defense applications.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to gather insights, align objectives, and influence the engineering roadmap.
• Own technical outcomes by understanding system performance, driving product development, and representing systems to clients.
• Coordinate between engineering, operations, and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions efficiently.
• Translate strategic goals into actionable projects, set milestones, and oversee resource allocation.
• Execute broad requirements autonomously, shaping project scope and maintaining high ownership.
• Support technical proposals, scope projects, and drive technical growth opportunities.

Requirements

• 5+ years in autonomous systems, robotics, or software engineering leadership roles.
• Experience with configuration management, release processes, and operational security frameworks.
• Ability to convert operational challenges into clear technical requirements and drive issue resolution.
• Strong communication skills, stakeholder management, and team leadership capabilities.
• Knowledge of security controls, risk management, and system security documentation.
• Proficiency with tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
