Program Educator -Intensive Language Institute

About the role

The Intensive Language Institute (ILI) at the University of Miami is seeking to augment and diversify its pool of part-time program educators for part-time teaching on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities

Selected candidates will:

• Follow curriculum provided by the department or develop appropriate materials, exercises, and tests for assigned classes.
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt to new techniques and situations required by the teaching assignment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of instructional technology applied to classroom language pedagogy.
• Attend all required meetings.
• Assess students' performance.
• Maintain responsibilities and deadlines for recording progress reports and grades, providing evaluations, recommendations, and any other input requested regarding student performance.

Qualifications and experience

Qualifications and experience include:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• 2-3 years of teaching experience in the target language.
