About the Role
Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is seeking a Program Director to join our Transitional Support Services (TSS) team. This role provides clinical, administrative, fiscal, and operational leadership, ensuring high-quality, person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented services within a residential environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical, administrative, fiscal, and operational leadership for BHN's Transitional Support Services program.
- Plan, develop, organize, and direct program operations in alignment with BHN's mission, program goals, and regulatory/accreditation requirements.
- Ensure high-quality, person-centered, trauma-informed, harm-reduction, and recovery-oriented services within a safe and supportive residential environment.
- Oversee admissions, census, service coordination, treatment planning, documentation, utilization review, and transitions to the next level of care.
- Maintain program licensing and regulatory compliance, including Massachusetts DPH and Bureau of Substance Addiction Services requirements.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, supervision, performance evaluation, corrective action, and professional development for program staff.
- Monitor incidents, complaints, staff training, documentation quality, productivity, financial records, contract billing, and quality-assurance activities.
- Partner with senior leadership on annual budgeting, resource planning, operational forecasting, and responsible use of program resources.
- Build relationships with referral sources, payers, community providers, recovery supports, and other BHN programs for coordinated transitions and continuity of care.
- Evaluate program outcomes, update policies and procedures, support accreditation activities, and represent BHN at community and provider meetings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in a clinical or human-services field preferred.
- Clinical licensure (LADC I, LICSW, LMHC) preferred.
- At least five years of human services experience, including two years of supervisory experience.
- Experience leading substance-use treatment, recovery, residential, or transitional-support services preferred.
- Working knowledge of Massachusetts DPH Bureau of Substance Addiction Services regulations and licensing requirements.
- Commitment to empowerment, human rights, harm reduction, person-centered trauma-informed care, recovery, and community integration.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage operations, monitor performance, and respond to complex situations.
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational, technological, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills.

Pay
Salary Range: $70,000-$100,000
