About the role
The Program Director leads the Chase Center program, an adult residential facility in Waterbury, CT. The program provides assessments, monitors client compliance, and offers evidence-based groups to help clients reintegrate into society.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a holistic approach through collaboration and delegation with staff.
- Promote inclusion and acceptance of diversity and uniqueness.
- Facilitate strengths-based, relational, and trauma-informed approaches.
- Engage referral agents to ensure consistent processes and procedures.
- Develop and administer program policies and procedures.
- Lead recruitment efforts, hire, train, conduct supervision, and evaluate personnel.
- Manage the staff supervision process, including preparation of reports, evaluation, training, development plans, and issue-specific supervision.
- Ensure required staff-to-resident ratios at all times.
- Develop and implement program resources, liaise with funders, and work with local community agencies.
- Evaluate program data to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Manage and facilitate proper record keeping and report writing.
- Direct quality assurance activities as required.
- Develop, record, report, and analyze outcome measures.
- Ensure appropriate medical and mental health treatment, including routine care and medication administration.
- Provide clinical supervision and set high standards for the program's condition.
- Facilitate and manage crisis intervention, hospitalizations, runaways, violent behavior, school problems, and home visit issues.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree and three years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in the social service or criminal justice field.
- Education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one-year-for-one-year basis.
- Three years’ experience in management and supervision of staff.
- Ability to effectively engage and develop collaborative relationships with funders and other stakeholders.
- Exhibits excellent leadership skills including interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
