About the role
The Program Director for Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship will design, develop, and operate a new training program while maintaining a clinical practice at Valley Health System in affiliation with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate a new Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship Program
- Maintain a clinical practice at Valley Health System
- Provide quality education in a clinical environment
- Serve diverse patients
- Contribute to peer-reviewed journals
- Foster residents' interest in scholarly activity
- Perform clinical responsibilities 80% of the time
- Perform administrative responsibilities 20% of the time
Requirements
- A degree in Medicine or Osteopathy
- An unrestricted license to practice medicine in New Jersey
- Board Certification in Palliative Care and Hospice Medicine
- Minimum 3 years of Graduate Medical Education experience
- Leadership experience in GME preferred
- Maintain CME credit hours as required for Board Certification and/or hospital staff privileges
- Maintain up-to-date credentials, including CV, License, DEA, CDS, Board Certification, and documentation of Hospital admitting privileges

Pay & Benefits
- Salary range of $210,000 - $220,000
