Program Director, Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program
Northwell Health and the Department of Medicine is seeking a Program Director for the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program at North Shore University Hospital/Long Island Jewish Medical Center (NS/LIJ). This is an exciting opportunity to join a nationally recognized division that provides high-quality clinical care to older adults and those with serious and advanced illnesses.
About the role
The Director of the Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic direction of the fellowship. Responsibilities include developing and overseeing a comprehensive educational curriculum (both inpatient and outpatient) and ensuring the program's full compliance with all institutional and regulatory standards. The Director will be instrumental in fostering the next generation of palliative care specialists. The program anticipates 6 positions per year.
Requirements
- Board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a clinical practice of hospice and palliative medicine
- At least two years of documented educational and/or administrative experience in an ACGME-accredited hospice and palliative medicine program

Pay
Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, impacted by factors such as physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience, and productivity. The range listed reflects a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this posting and may be modified in the future.
