About the role

The Program Director will partner with clients and manage projects independently from inception through completion, as well as lead internal project management teams. You’ll prioritize, guide, and direct practice area and PM teams throughout the life cycle of various small to large projects, ensuring teams are empowered and have the information needed to deliver excellent end products. Strong communication skills are foundational, facilitating collaboration among project teams, client stakeholders, and senior management.

Information Security Responsibilities

  • Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
  • Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
  • Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead and motivate diverse teams on various types of projects in a fast-paced environment while managing a team of Project Managers
  • Oversee projects led by direct reports to ensure they stay on track, on budget, within scope, and follow internal processes
  • Lead projects while also managing a team of 2-3 direct reports
  • Manage project scope, timeline, budget, issues, risks, dependencies, and deliverable outcomes
  • Lead on-time, on-budget delivery of digital projects, following internal processes, resulting in high client and team satisfaction
  • Function as a Scrum Master to lead effective Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint reviews, grooming, and planning
  • Proactively monitor, report, and manage project scope changes, budget burn, and timeline risk
  • Understand problems and build consensus within the project team to work toward solutions
  • Serve as an advocate for the project team, ensuring they are empowered and informed
  • Communicate effectively (written and verbal) and facilitate communication among project teams, client stakeholders, and senior management
  • Facilitate efficient meetings, including producing agendas, leading discussions, and ensuring action items are followed up on
  • Adjust communication styles to suit various audiences with different working styles and personalities
  • Foster a collaborative environment within the project team and direct reports
  • Resolve conflicts in a mature, productive, and positive manner
  • Act as a key client contact, ensuring expectations are met and results are delivered
  • Leverage project management systems to make data-driven decisions and provide reporting
  • Work with clients and product owners to ensure business goals are realized in working solutions
  • Develop domain expertise in the client's business space to drive results
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, content strategists, and all levels of the company
  • Partner with Client Service Executives and Business Development to scope, size, and solution new opportunities
  • Proactively analyze, propose, and implement process improvements
  • Work with Program Delivery leadership to determine and implement best practices, new technology, and processes
  • Coach and mentor team members
  • Manage direct reports, including project oversight, performance management, goal setting, conflict resolution, and career pathing
  • Build strong relationships with clients and internal team members to deliver success
  • Contribute to the internal development of Agile and project management processes, deliverables, and standards
  • Continue expanding and developing new skills, techniques, and tools through continuous learning

Requirements

  • BS/BA in a relevant program, or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of project management experience with progressively increasing responsibility, including at least 2 years of Agile experience
  • 8+ years of experience working as a consultant or in an agency as a project manager
  • Exposure to a wide variety of management techniques including Scrum, Agile, and/or Waterfall
  • Experience managing multiple teams simultaneously, consisting of 4 to 8 people
  • Experience managing distributed or remote team members
  • Experience delivering large digital-related projects ($1MM+, 9+ months)
  • In-depth understanding of the digital development process and technologies
  • Proven organizational skills and focused attention to detail
  • Experience with Confluence/JIRA or equivalent tools for software development
  • Experience with CMS platforms (Adobe Experience Manager, Drupal), eCommerce platforms (Magento, Shopify), and Google Analytics is a plus
  • CSM and PMP certifications are a plus
  • Some travel may be required

Pay

$122,000 - $145,000 a year. Individual pay is determined by many factors, including experience, relevant education or training, and organizational needs. The mid-range to maximum of the salary range is generally reserved for individuals who are highly experienced in the role.
