Adminstration
- Oversee the hiring process of all staff, reviewing resumes, setting up and conducting interviews.
- Orientation / training of all staff.
- Responsible for program evaluation and Quality Assurance.
- Document supervision of staff, including providing formal, bi-weekly direct supervision to Assistant Director.
- Completion of annual staff evaluations.
- Progressive discipline, corrective action, and termination of employees as necessary.
- Oversees schedule to assure appropriate shift coverage.
- Oversees all file documentation.
- Periodically does internal audit of files and review tracking form.
- Maintains program budget and other administrative tasks as required.
- Co-facilitates monthly staff meetings with Assistant Director.
- Facilitates monthly meetings with overnight staff.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with DOHMH regulations.
- Completion of monthly and annual reports.
- Responsible for overseeing, identifying, and reporting of physical plant safety issues.
- Interact with General Service personnel.
- Approval of purchases for the facility.
- Responsible for completing payroll.
- Responsible for maintenance of activity funds and petty cash funds.
- Participate in integrated activities, i.e. social / recreational activities and cultural events.
- Reports to Deputy Director.
Operational
- Facilitate communication between program, Intake Department and tax credit Management to ensure maintenance of waitlist.
- Evaluates treatment and care of residents and monitors records.
- Oversees Program self-audit process.
- Conduct weekly case reviews with residential staff.
- Oversees Residence staff towards development and implementation of Service Plans.
- Facilitates communication between all staff towards assisting residents in the attainment of Service Plan goals.
- Oversee discharge process.
- Supervise the implementation of the discharge plan.
- Ensure ongoing training and development of staff.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Participation in the development and implementation of program training.
- Attend workshops and conferences as requested.
Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Human Services, Social work or related social service with 1-year experience or a Bachelors degree in human services or related field with five years of supervisory experience required.
- New York State drivers license and access to a vehicle required.
