About the role
As a Program Cost Control Analyst located in Redondo Beach, CA, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. You will help prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and assist with financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlooks, cash forecasting, and variance analysis. You will also ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation for expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government. This role supports intercompany programs and the site General Manager.
This position works a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. It is contingent upon capturing program award(s) as well as obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding prior to the start date.
Responsibilities
- Set up cost control systems, monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control systems
- Support audits and reviews requested by programs, customers, and company management, including fact-finding and negotiation support
- Perform analysis and prepare reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
- Perform Earned Value Metric (EVM) tasks including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis/assessment, visibility reports, and development and analysis of estimates to complete
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of business management or program control experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years of business management or program control experience
- Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
- No clearance required to start
- Experience with financial analysis or reporting
- Experience with MS Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Defense industry experience
- Program Cost Control experience
- Experience with FAR/DFAR
- Experience with Costpoint, Cobra, Primavera, or SAP
- Experience with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Earned Value Management (EVM) experience

Pay
Primary level salary range: $94,200.00 – $141,200.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
