About the role

At Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector in Dulles, VA, the Program Cost Control Analyst plays a pivotal role supporting missions critical to national and global security. This 100% onsite position requires a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain cost control systems; monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost/schedule control systems
  • Support audits and reviews requested by programs, customers, and company management, including fact-finding and negotiation support
  • Perform analysis and prepare reports to ensure contracts remain within negotiated parameters and government cost-control guidelines
  • Conduct Earned Value Management (EVM) tasks: develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), establish budget baselines, perform cost-risk assessments, and produce visibility reports
  • Develop and analyze estimates to complete
  • Prepare budgets and schedules for contract work
  • Assist in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlooks, cash forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Maintain accurate records of expenditures; direct preparation of expenditure projections; submit timely requests for additional funding to the government

Requirements

Level 2

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 1+ years of professional experience
  • May substitute 4+ years of relevant experience for a degree
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance
  • Experience with financial analysis or reporting
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite

Level 3

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3+ years of professional experience
  • May substitute 4+ years of relevant experience for a degree
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance
  • Experience with financial analysis or reporting
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite

Qualifications

  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance at time of application
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • Defense industry experience
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
  • Program Cost Control experience
  • Experience with FAR/DFAR
  • Familiarity with Costpoint, Cobra, Primavera, or SAP

Travel

Up to 10% of the time.

Security

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Schedule

9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Pay

  • Level 2: $75,800 – $113,800
  • Level 3: $94,200 – $141,200

Base salary is determined by scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Eligibility for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply.
