About the role
At Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector in Dulles, VA, the Program Cost Control Analyst plays a pivotal role supporting missions critical to national and global security. This position is 100% onsite with no telecommute option and follows a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
Responsibilities
- Set up cost control systems and monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control systems
- Support audits and reviews requested by programs, customers, and company management, including fact-finding and negotiation support
- Perform analysis and prepare reports to ensure contracts remain within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines
- Perform Earned Value Management (EVM) tasks including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis/assessment, and visibility reports
- Develop and analyze estimates to complete
- Prepare budgets and schedules for contract work
- Assist in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlooks, cash forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures
- Direct preparation of expenditure projections and submit timely requests for additional funding to the government
Requirements
For Level 3:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 1 year of professional experience
- May consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
- Active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
- Experience with financial analysis or reporting
- Experience with MS Office Suite
For Level 4:
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 4 years of professional experience
- May consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
- Active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
- Experience with financial analysis or reporting
- Experience with MS Office Suite
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Defense industry experience
- Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
- Program Cost Control experience
- Experience with FAR/DFAR
- Experience with Costpoint, Cobra, Primavera, or SAP
Clearance
Active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance required at time of application.
Travel
Up to 10% of the time.
Pay
- Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 – $141,200.00
- Secondary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 – $176,300.00
Base salary offers are determined by scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Eligibility for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply.
