About the role

At Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector in Dulles, VA, the Program Cost Control Analyst plays a pivotal role supporting missions critical to national and global security. This position is 100% onsite with no telecommute option and follows a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Responsibilities

  • Set up cost control systems and monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control systems
  • Support audits and reviews requested by programs, customers, and company management, including fact-finding and negotiation support
  • Perform analysis and prepare reports to ensure contracts remain within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines
  • Perform Earned Value Management (EVM) tasks including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis/assessment, and visibility reports
  • Develop and analyze estimates to complete
  • Prepare budgets and schedules for contract work
  • Assist in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlooks, cash forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures
  • Direct preparation of expenditure projections and submit timely requests for additional funding to the government

Requirements

For Level 3:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 1 year of professional experience
  • May consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
  • Experience with financial analysis or reporting
  • Experience with MS Office Suite

For Level 4:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 4 years of professional experience
  • May consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application
  • Experience with financial analysis or reporting
  • Experience with MS Office Suite

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • Defense industry experience
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
  • Program Cost Control experience
  • Experience with FAR/DFAR
  • Experience with Costpoint, Cobra, Primavera, or SAP

Clearance

Active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance required at time of application.

Travel

Up to 10% of the time.

Pay

  • Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 – $141,200.00
  • Secondary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 – $176,300.00

Base salary offers are determined by scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Eligibility for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply.
