Program Coordinator - Physician Asst program

About the role

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) seeks a candidate to support the program director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing, and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the program.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the office by answering phones, greeting visitors and students.
  • Aid the Program Director, Regional Dean, and faculty with reports, meeting minutes, files, and special projects.
  • Collaborate with team members on admissions interviews.
  • Serve as the unit safety officer.
  • Cook up the student-facing class calendar and schedule reservations in TTUHSC system.
  • Maintain documentation for the department purchasing card and prepare weekly reports.
  • Complete all travel reimbursements for program faculty, adjuncts, students, and staff.
  • Aid the Program Business Manager with purchasing contracts and budget reconciliations.
  • Occasionally assist with program special events and activities.
  • Submit maintenance work orders and housekeeping requests as needed.
  • Keep departmental shared spaces organized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school plus six years experience in related field.
  • Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Banner, Chrome River.
  • Experience working independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience operating standard office equipment.
  • Previous experience working in a roll with shifting priorities and frequent interruptions.
  • Previous experience in customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Banner, Chrome River.
  • Experience working independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience operating standard office equipment.
  • Previous experience working in a roll with shifting priorities and frequent interruptions.
  • Previous experience in customer service.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan website at https://app4.ttuhsc.edu/payplan.
