Program Coordinator (NORC)
About the role
HANAC, Inc. is a New York City-based social services organization founded in 1972 to serve vulnerable populations. The Program Coordinator (NORC) assists the Program Director with implementing program policies and services to the program's clients. Responsibilities include inputting data, conducting interviews, providing case assistance, maintaining records, attending training, and creating the monthly newsletter.
Essential Functions
- Input data into HANAC data program and assist with DFTA STARS database input.
- Interview clients for needs assessment (phone or in office).
- Provide case assistance in acquiring and completing required forms and gathering verification information.
- Follow up on client cases regularly and address identified issues, identifying new issues as necessary.
- Attend required training and stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and services.
- Enter program-required statistics and maintain case service logs.
- Attend staff meetings with the Program Director.
- Follow established safety and emergency procedures.
- Create the monthly newsletter and email it to clients.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or higher with experience in social services.
- Demonstrated flexibility, detail orientation, responsibility, reliability, professionalism, teamwork, and positive work environment.
- Ability to multitask and take initiative.
- Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish or English/Greek) preferred.
Benefits
The position offers an hourly rate of $29.705, non-exempt status, and a flexible schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Skills
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to work with clients in crisis. In the absence of the Program Director, the Program Coordinator assumes supervisory duties.
