Job Responsibilities
- Affords assistance in planning, developing, managing, updating, and evaluating all aspects of the program.
- Supports preparation of data and other written materials for all required state and Board requirements, such as reports, proposals, self-studies, surveys, audits, and site visits.
- Assists in the training of new faculty and the professional development of existing faculty.
- Participates in planning faculty staffing to ensure course coverage.
- Ensures theory and clinical evaluations are completed in a timely manner by assigned faculty.
- Affords assistance in gathering evaluations from students, clinical sites representatives, and faculty upon completion of each clinical rotation.
- Contributes to strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure program quality.
- Makes continuous efforts to improve quality of instruction.
- Ensures clinical assignments, clinical rotation matrices, and calendars are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensures faculty are consistently following policies and guidelines as related to student clinical rotation experience.
- Reviews student learning material on an ongoing basis.
- Ensures student records are maintained according to policies.
- Submits required program reports and forms to the Program Director in a timely manner.
- Keeps current with new technologies and safety regulations.
- Provides advising support and planning assistance to potential and current students.
- Ensures all students have completed the necessary documentation and meet the requirements for graduation and the state licensing exam.
- Teaches (either theory or clinical) half of the time as needed.
Qualifications
- Holds a valid, clear, and current active license as a Vocational or Registered Nurse in the assigned state.
- Displays effective problem-solving and leadership skills.
- The ability to communicate pertinent information in a timely manner to appropriate personnel.
- The ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Holds a minimum of three years’ experience as a registered nurse or vocational nurse; one year shall be in teaching or clinical supervision, or a combination thereof.
