Job Description

Position Summary:

Respond to directives of Uniondale UFSD and deploy resources accordingly. Ensure all work of the Mental Health Service Professional Demonstration Grant Program is in alignment with grant deliverables and Uniondale UFSD priorities. Oversee the recruitment of prospective School of Psychology candidates. Train and provide professional development to increase the delivery of early intervention and intensive mental health supports to district personnel using evidence-based strategies within the field of School Psychology. Oversee, in conjunction with the P.I., the partnering LEAs in the consortium. Participate in regional needs assessment and planning in collaboration with Uniondale UFSD and partnering LEAs. Conduct needs assessments with identified districts to determine specialist deployment and better understand district mental health needs.

Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience

  • Expertise in evidence-based mental health services
  • Spanish speaking
  • Extensive knowledge of research-based interventions, instruction, and learning strategies
  • Experience providing training, coaching, professional development, and/or technical assistance
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills that support interacting with families and school/agency personnel

Education Requirements

A minimum of a Master’s degree in School Psychology; Doctorate preferred.
