Wage: $19.10 per hour (The rate of pay and pay scale provided for this position are based on title and geographical location). Full Range Scale - $19.10 - $21.30
Responsibilities
- Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
- Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self-care
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating
- Prepare meals and snacks (may include grocery shopping)
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties
- Assist with transportation needs for community outings, appointments, and errands
- Implement behavior supports and de-escalation during challenging behaviors
- Provide mobility and transfer assistance, which may include using mechanical lift devices
- Handle administrative duties such as assisting with schedules, one-on-one training of staff, documentation and follow-up of individual and program-related issues, and ensuring compliance with policies and Oregon Administrative Rules
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- 2+ years of caregiver experience required (experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred)
- Valid driver's license required
- NAR Preferred
- Must be at least 21 years old
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Passion to help others through person-centered care
- People-oriented with a team approach
- Dependable, adaptable, and flexible
- Strong reading, writing, and communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with both internal and external team members
- Able to attend two weeks of paid in-house orientation and training
