Program Coordinator III for Northern Utah Home Visiting

This is a full-time, exempt position at Utah State University for the Northern Utah Home Visiting (NUHV) program, a national initiative funded through Utah's Department of Health and Human Services. The NUHV program is curriculum-based and designed to enhance and improve parenting practices for specific populations.

Responsibilities

• Administers and implements all aspects of the Parents as Teachers Program and NUHV contract
• Manages and oversees the administrative and daily operations of a State, Federal, and University Program, ensuring compliance with all University, state, and federal policies and regulations
• Works closely with Utah DHHS and other partners/agencies to facilitate the growth of the Home Visiting program
• Ensures public and community awareness through child find activities, participation in advisory committees, and education of primary referral sources and community
• Responsible for direct hiring, training, and retention of qualified home visiting personnel and support personnel
• Monitors and administers program revenues and expenses; participates in finance discussions during financial meetings with directors or AD
• Coordinates with program Champion ensuring PAT model is executed to fidelity
• Collects and analyzes data; prepares scheduled and special reports; maintains program records and statistical information in compliance with DHHS, NUHV, and USU
• Assures compliance and execution of PAT requirements and reflective supervision of NUHV home visitors
• Writes, edits, and coordinates the development of policy and procedures, promotional materials, educational materials, and training manuals as appropriate to the program
• Ensures the program meets Annual Performance Review Indicators, State Targets, PAT Requirements, and related Corrective Actions
• Engages in direct service of the NUHV program providing services using the PAT model

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field plus two years of relevant work experience in early childhood; or a master's degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education plus experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluent in spoken and written Spanish
• Knowledge of principles and practices related to Home Visiting and Parents as Teachers curriculum and/or PAT certification
• Knowledge of research and information-gathering methods and procedures
• Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques

The Institute for Disability Research, Policy & Practice (IDRPP) is Utah’s federally designated University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD). Opened in 1972, the IDRPP was the first UCEDD program in the U.S. to focus on the educational and social needs of children and adults with disabilities.
