Job Responsibilities
The Eligibility Coach coordinates, plans, and delivers training for Eligibility Enrollment and Member Services (EEMS). Responsibilities include:
- Delivering training and development plans with instructor-led and online materials.
- Staying updated on EEMS process and policy changes, and using latest tools, techniques, technology, and resources.
- Supporting timely and accurate eligibility decisions by delivering training to eligibility workers, supervisors, and administrative staff.
- Training on Medicaid policies and procedures, and systems.
- Conducting ongoing training through various methods and providing course assessments.
- Improving EEMS training processes and materials as needed.
- Tracking, compiling, and reviewing collected data from trainee surveys, course feedback, and assessments.
- Following common methodologies and standard training development processes.
- Attending staff meetings and trainings to stay informed about agency policies and procedures.
- Serving as a liaison with agencies serving the Medicaid population.
- Representing Eligibility, Enrollment, and Member Services on various committees and participating in events or projects.
- Staying current with workflow by processing a minimum of 3 cases per month.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma and five (5) years of Medicaid Eligibility experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered with prior State Human Resources approval.
- A bachelor's degree and at least two (2) years relevant program experience preferred.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and implement improvements.
- Knowledge of instructional best practices and adult-learning methods.
- Good interpersonal skills, including establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Strong communication skills with eligibility staff and all levels of management.
- Strict adherence to training philosophy, processes, and materials.
- Certification from talent of training associations a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of instructional best practices and adult-learning methods.
- Good interpersonal skills, including establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with eligibility staff and all levels of management.
- Strict adherence to training philosophy, processes, and materials.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and implement improvements.
- Certification from talent of training associations a plus.

The established hiring range for this position is $45,300 to $46,920. Do you accept this range?
