The Agency's mission is to be boldly innovative in improving the health and quality of life for South Carolinians. This position is located in the Office of Data & Analytics, Richland County. This is an in-office role and not a telecommute or remote position.

About the role

We are looking for a Program Coordinator I (Data & Analytics Program Support) in the Office of Data & Analytics, which is leading the development and implementation of the agency’s data and analytics strategy by advancing accessible and responsible data use, improving data quality, and strengthening data governance practices across SCDHHS. Under general supervision from the Chief Data & Analytics Officer (CDAO), this position provides essential day-to-day administrative and project support to the office, enabling the team to succeed in its mission, goals, and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as office manager for the Office of Data & Analytics by maintaining supplies, coordinating facility needs/activities, and managing administrative logistics including hiring, onboarding/offboarding, travel arrangements/requests, vendor visits, invoicing, and documentation.
  • Act as the point of contact for visitors, coordinate required parking, security, and IT needs, and complete all required onboarding and termination IT tickets.
  • Collect and verify purchase requests for the Office of Data & Analytics, including software, services, facilities, and supplies, with finance and procurement. Prepare purchase requisitions and/or shopping carts and travel expenses as needed.
  • Coordinate and support meetings for the Office of Data & Analytics, including scheduling, agenda preparation, material distribution, and minute-taking. Maintain the calendar for the Chief Data & Analytics Officer and respond to meeting requests in a timely manner.
  • Assist with facilitating meetings and organizing meeting logistics: scheduling meetings, reserving meeting rooms, parking, and other resources, informing security, preparing meeting agendas, and documenting assigned meetings.
  • Coordinate hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes for Office of Data & Analytics staff, including contractors and state employees.
  • Complete calendar management, communication, meeting coordination, travel documents, and facilities or IT requests as assigned.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as ordering supplies, managing office equipment, and coordinating with other departments.
  • Support the CDAO in developing and maintaining documentation related to team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), progress tracking, and reporting.
  • Maintain the telecommuting policy for the Office of Data & Analytics, ensuring proper documentation is completed and submissions of telecommuting activities are timely. Alert managers/supervisors when issues arise.
  • Attend and participate in conferences, webinars, online training, and courses that build skills related to job functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to all program, agency, State, and related policies, procedures, privacy, and timeliness standards.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and one (1) year of relevant program experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered with prior Human Resources approval.
  • Overtime and/or weekend work with Deputy approval.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Lifting requirement: 20 lbs.
  • In-office role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the Medicaid agency’s mission.
  • General knowledge of project management/coordination principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion to meet schedules and deadlines.
  • Ability to move efficiently between multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, and meeting scheduling best practices.
  • Proficiency in using different tools to scribe and document meetings and team discussions.
  • This position supports BIS/EIS APD.

Pay

The established hiring range for this position is $45,300 to $66,400.
