About the role
Vision To Learn is a nonprofit dedicated to providing vision care to underserved children. This position is based in Metro Detroit, Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with key district partners, clinical staff, and operations team for daily reporting, tracking, communication, and scheduling.
- Outline a strategic schedule for mobile vision clinics at schools according to relevant district calendars.
- Effectively coordinate optometrist staff schedules and approve timesheets.
- Oversee clinic team and ensure staff clearances are provided to school districts in compliance with MOUs.
- Work with operations department, nurses, and county health officials to suggest changes to the schedule and react quickly to urgent needs.
- Coordinate operations staff to input accurate and timely data into relevant VTL systems.
- Collaborate with nurses, principals, and district administrators to collect testimonials and photos.
- Identify and coordinate partnerships for summer exam opportunities.
- Aid in the oversight of the volunteer program.
- Assist with special event planning.
- Support the Program Manager by maintaining relevant programmatic data points, including EHR system, tracking spreadsheets, and Basecamp.
- Maintain communication between the Program Manager, operations staff, and districts regarding schedule changes and updates.
- Be willing to cross-train to work on the mobile clinic as a technician, conduct vision screenings, dispense glasses, and check in glasses.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Two or more years’ experience working with schools preferred
- Skilled in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
