About the role
The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Pennsylvania seeks a Program Coordinator to support a portfolio of grant-supported maternal and child health programs. The Program Coordinator will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to identify community maternal health needs, implement evidence-based practices, and apply quality improvement techniques to track postpartum population health metrics.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the principal liaison for assigned sites, supporting the integration of maternal child health grant initiatives into clinical workflows and training curriculum.
- Interface with providers and site clinical teams, foster collaborative relationships with administrators and faculty, and function as a key resource for physicians and healthcare staff on project implementation.
- Oversee and monitor research activities to ensure compliance with human subject protection guidelines and applicable regulatory standards.
- Support IRB submissions and continuing reviews, maintain regulatory and legal documentation, and ensure collected data is accurate, complete, and integrity-intact across all approved protocols.
- Maintain adequate inventory of IMPLICIT Network supplies, including multivitamins, blood pressure cuffs, and educational/handout materials.
- Oversee procurement and distribution of grant-specific materials to ensure consistent availability across assigned sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and 2-3 years of post-degree experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Master’s Degree in public health or health-related concentration preferred.
- A highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for maternal and child health.
- Project management skills, the ability to juggle multiple priorities across sites and grant activities, and a natural aptitude for building collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
