About the Role
The Supplemental Instruction program at Ole Miss supports student learning by training undergraduate students to lead study sessions for challenging courses. This position provides administrative support for the planning and coordination of day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and operational activities of the program. Duties include assisting with planning, fiscal and budgetary transactions, program implementation, internal and external liaison, marketing, and reporting.
This position reports to the Supplemental Instruction Program Manager and operates on a schedule of 10:00 AM – 07:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Conduct observations of supplemental instruction sessions.
- Develop and teach training content to Supplemental Instruction Leaders.
- Assist with scheduling, catering, and hosting events.
- Assist in development of the supplemental instruction schedule.
- Collect and manage assessment data, including grades, rosters, and transcripts for recruitment of SI leaders.
- Manage Workday hiring processes for SI leaders.
- Photocopy handouts for SI sessions upon request.
- Assist with social media and marketing presence.
- Complete training modules for supplemental instruction and stay current with trends in best practices.
- Supervise supplemental instruction leaders in coordination with the SI program coordinator.
- Provide support to Program Coordination staff with grant planning, fiscal and budgetary transactions, program implementation, and reporting.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining lab, research, and data collection systems or facilities.
- Assist in program assessment and evaluation, and help devise quality assurance check systems.
- Review and edit materials for proper formatting, spelling, and printing for supervisor review.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Four years of relevant experience (required).
Pay
$18.64 - $27.96 per hour.
