About the role

This position is responsible for providing day-to-day operations support to team members throughout the planning, implementation and delivery of programs, and may serve as first point of contact for the unit.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as primary contact with program participants, customer service and office support functions
  • Facilitating communication between program participants and managerial staff
  • Coordinating arrangements for the program such as meetings, conferences and banquets
  • Collecting, compiling and summarizing program data and managing records
  • Maintaining program calendars and schedules
  • Utilizing University programs to create, review and approve financial documents and provide routine financial reports to the program administrator
  • May utilize other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Three years performing administrative, office and/or program support functions

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Skills

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in engineering or related field (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Japanese language (preferred)
  • Experience in teaching, counseling, or advising of engineering students in a holistic program (preferred)
  • Experience interpreting, applying, and explaining complex information such as regulations, policies, or services (preferred)
  • Independent problem solving as a team member in an academic, government, or business environment (preferred)

$26.55 per hour or higher depending on experience
