About the role
The Program Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the effective operation of the Support Services Department under the direction of the Director of Support Services. This position works closely with the Director to coordinate and track department-wide activities, manage internal communications, and ensure the timely completion of program deliverables and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assists with scheduling and meeting coordination
- Maintains documentation and tracking systems
- Supports grant and contract compliance
- Helps monitor progress toward program goals
- Serves as a central point of coordination to ensure the Director and Program Managers have the information and tools needed to implement high-quality, patient-centered services
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, human services, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered
- Minimum 2 years of experience in program coordination, administrative support, or related roles in a nonprofit or community health setting
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with diverse staff, community partners, and patients
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams); experience with data tracking and reporting tools preferred
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn about social determinants of health, trauma-informed care, and services for vulnerable populations
- High attention to detail, especially in documentation, reporting, and file organization
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated cultural humility and sensitivity when working with diverse populations
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Understanding of confidentiality and compliance requirements in community health and human services programs
- Experience supporting audits or compliance reviews is a plus
