PROGRAM COORDINATOR

This is a full-time, hourly role at Food For Thought Outreach in Okaloosa and Walton Counties.

About the role

The Program Operations Coordinator provides continuity within our full scope of service year-round with their organizational knowledge and understanding of our standard operating procedures. This position plays a critical role in the training and retention of our volunteer base, educating volunteers on our mission, programs, and opportunities to support the organization.

A Program Operations Coordinator will be on-site with our volunteers in our pantry locations or out in the community, providing services at least 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of the history, culture, and mission of the organization
• Demonstrate commitment to organizational standards and best practices consistently
• Train and retain volunteers, educating them on mission, programs, and support opportunities
• Work on-site with volunteers in pantry locations or in the community at least 50% of the time

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working on a team or leading a team in person
• Experience with critical thinking and problem-solving in a professional environment
• Strong organizational skills and personal time management
• Experience with Google Suite and willingness to learn new software programs
• Strong in-person and written communication skills; comfortable talking with small groups
• Passion for our mission and commitment to the work required to deliver program services
• Willingness to work in a variety of settings, including office, pantry/warehouse, and field
