About the role

The Program Coordinator functions as the head of all operational facets of their individual program. This includes compliance with program licensing requirements, hiring, training, coordination and planning of client needs, supervision of staff, scheduling, development and implementation of staff training/meetings, and client behavioral management and support planning. This position requires a person with energy, creativity, and desire for improving the lives of others. The primary goal is to provide program oversight to strengthen the skills of staff and help residents achieve personal goals and live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives.

Our programs are 4-bedroom residential settings centered around the individuals we support. The goal is to provide services to enrich the lives of our residents to live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives in the least-restrictive environment while remaining safe and well-cared-for.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an advocate, supporter, educator, and caregiver to individuals with disabilities
  • Oversee compliance with program licensing requirements
  • Hire, train, and supervise staff
  • Coordinate and plan client needs
  • Develop and implement staff training and meetings
  • Manage client behavioral support planning
  • Create and manage staff schedules
  • Make independent decisions based on standard policies and procedures

Requirements

  • One of the following combinations of education and experience:
    • A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and 1 year full-time work experience
    • An associate degree in a field related to human services, and 2 years full-time work experience
    • A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited post-secondary institution, and 3 years full-time work experience
    • A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities, and 4 years full-time work experience (under the supervision of a qualified staff person)

    Work experience must include providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older.

  • Must be 18 years or older and have completed a high school diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass MVR check, maintain a valid driver’s license, and vehicle insurance
  • Ability to pass a state background check clearance
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor
  • Possess sight/hearing senses, or use of prosthetic services that enable these senses to function adequately
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently, and use a computer with minimal training
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage time, and meet deadlines
  • Reliability, dependability, and flexibility

Pay

$22.00 per hour

Schedule

Flexible based on house schedule (e.g., 7am–3pm, 8am–4pm)
