AHL Healthcare Group empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. Our Adult Foster Care division, At Home Living, supports clients in 4-bedroom residential settings, ensuring they live safely and happily in the least-restrictive environment.

About the role

The Program Coordinator oversees all operational aspects of their assigned program, including compliance with licensing requirements, hiring, training, client needs coordination, staff supervision, scheduling, and behavioral support planning. This role requires energy, creativity, and a commitment to improving lives by strengthening staff skills and helping residents achieve personal goals.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with program licensing requirements
  • Hire, train, and supervise staff
  • Coordinate and plan client needs
  • Develop and implement staff training and meetings
  • Manage client behavioral support planning
  • Oversee scheduling and day-to-day program operations
  • Advocate for and support residents in achieving personal goals

Requirements

  • One of the following combinations of education and experience:
    • A baccalaureate degree in a human services-related field and 1 year of full-time work experience *OR
    • An associate degree in a human services-related field and 2 years of full-time work experience *OR
    • A diploma in a human services-related field from an accredited post-secondary institution and 3 years of full-time work experience *OR
    • A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities, and 4 years of full-time work experience *

    *Work experience must involve direct care services to persons with disabilities or individuals aged 65 and older, under the supervision of a qualified staff person.

  • Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass an MVR check, maintain a valid driver’s license, and carry vehicle insurance
  • Must pass a state background check
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor
  • Adequate sight and hearing (with or without prosthetic assistance)
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English; basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, making decisions based on policies and procedures
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and reliability
  • Flexibility and dependability in day-to-day activities

Pay

$22.00 per hour

Schedule

Flexible, based on house schedule (e.g., 7am–3pm, 8am–4pm)
