About the role
The Program Compliance Manager provides oversight, direction, and leadership to the Program Compliance team, ensuring a safe, secure space for the love of Christ to be poured out on the community we serve.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all Program Compliance shifts are covered, adjusting for vacations and sick days.
- Provide training to new Program Compliance team members.
- Communicate well with team members and hold Program Compliance staff accountable for timely paperwork and participation in various House of Hope trainings and All-Staff Days.
- Review reports for discrepancies, perform spot checks, and correct team members to ensure compliance and adherence to policy.
- Produce weekly, monthly, and annual reports covering events and statistics as applicable to Direct Services and Program Compliance.
- Ensure documentation is complete and accurate in a form that can be archived and called upon in the event of investigation.
- Appropriately handle occurrences that deviate in the domain of safety, security, and other areas where public servants are required—such as EMS and law enforcement. Produce a report containing all details investigated.
- When law enforcement is involved, ensure that Program Compliance on site is the primary point of contact to guide and assist.
- Teach the Program Compliance team the intricacies of the programs and how their presence enhances the mission of House of Hope.
- Look into methods and ways to improve the ministries from the standpoint of safety and security.
- Protect the company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
- Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property.
- Evict violators.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents.
- Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Perform first aid or CPR as necessary.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Program Compliance Manager supervises the Program Compliance Department, including approximately 6 direct reports.
Skills
- Proven work experience as a security guard or other relevant position.
- Trained in de-escalation.
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- High school degree.
- Management experience preferred.

- Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ demonstrated through a profession of faith.
- Actively participate in and remain in good standing with a local Christian church.
- Support and uphold the mission, values, and Christian principles of House of Hope of the Pee Dee.
- Demonstrate spiritual maturity, integrity, humility, and compassion.
- Have a passion for serving individuals experiencing homelessness and hardship.
- Be willing to pray with, encourage, and share the Gospel with residents, guests, volunteers, and staff when appropriate.
- Exhibit Christian conduct consistent with Biblical principles both professionally and personally.
