Program Assistant Day Center (Caregiver) – Wausau (Monday – Friday daytime hours)

About the role

The Day Center Services Program Assistant supports the operation of the Aurora Day Services, ensuring timely, consistent, and quality day services for adults with cognitive and mental health disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Seek out opportunities for community and social integration
• Help consumers plan and prepare choices of fun events and outings
• Assist with self-care, including medication administration
• Meal preparation and planning
• Transportation of consumers
• Follow individual service plans
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Acceptable Background Character Verification
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for consumer transport
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Physical ability to twist, turn, squat, bend, reach, pull, push (from high/low positions), raise arms above shoulder, walk, sit (chair and floor), climb stairs, and use hands and fingers
• Basic English communication skills
• Basic reading, writing, and internet navigation skills
• Experience with adults with disabilities

Pay

$18/hr

Schedule

Monday–Friday, daytime hours (8:00 AM–4:00 PM)
