About the role
The Program Assistant plays an important role in the day-to-day operations of William Tell Elementary School by providing support to classrooms, students, and school programs. This position helps create a positive, organized, and welcoming environment where students can learn and grow. Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers and staff with daily classroom and program needs
- Aid in student supervision during arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, or activities
- Provide clerical and organizational support, including copying, filing, and data entry
- Help prepare materials for lessons, activities, and school programs
- Aid in communication between staff, students, and families as needed
- Support school events, programs, and activities
- Maintain confidentiality of student and school information
- Follow school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support school operations
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Experience working with children or in a school setting is helpful
- Strong organizational and communication skills are necessary
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented are key traits
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students is important
- A positive attitude and willingness to support a team-focused environment are valued
