About the Role

Under the direction of the Assistant Deputy Commissioner (ADC) for Administration and Program Facilitation, the Program Assistant will work closely with the ADC to perform liaison activities with community-based substance abuse treatment and harm reduction programs and contracted case management programs to provide program updates, resolve system-related issues and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Substance Abuse related programs regarding program updates, training, issues related to automated systems and compliance with program reporting requirements.
  • Collect data, perform analysis and produce reports related to Substance Abuse Treatment and Harm Reduction programs activities and outcomes.
  • Research case-specific information by checking automated systems and contacting programs; forward information to Office management.
  • Coordinate meetings and training and answer inquiries from Substance Abuse related programs.
  • Update HRA and CAS automated systems to create/adjust client appointment slots, ensure that substance abuse program letters of agreement and licensing requirements are current and program site addresses and contact information are accurate.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or

An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described above; or

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience as described above; or

Education and/or experience equivalent to the above. However, all candidates must possess the one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described above. Education above the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience (but not for the one year of administrative or supervisory experience) at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3½ years.

Pay

$61,656.00 – $70,904.00

9:00am-5:00pm (Flexible)
