Schedule
Mon.–Fri., 7:30 am–4 pm; plus 8 weekend hours per month
Pay
$15.50 and up per hour (more based on verifiable caregiving experience). Daily pay available.
About the role
Program Assistants provide assistance to elderly participants with activities of daily living, recreational activities, and personal care services in our Adult Day Center and, as needed, in participants’ residences.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid PA driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Caregiving experience preferred
Skills
- Discretion, tact, patience, and good judgment
- Empathetic and compassionate attitude in caring for the elderly
- Ability to understand and carry out non‑technical verbal and written directions, record messages, and keep records
- Ability to get along well with others and gain the cooperation of participants
- Physical and emotional ability to carry out assigned tasks
- Routine work involving the personal care and program activities of participants
