About the role
This position serves as a Program and Tribal Relations Coordinator at South Dakota State University, supporting student success and fostering strong relationships with Tribal Nations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate programming that supports student success, belonging, and engagement, with a focus on strengthening relationships with Tribal Nations and advancing institutional support for Indigenous students, staff, and faculty.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, American Indian and Indigenous Studies, Social Sciences to include Psychology, or Sociology, History, Training and Development, Curriculum Design or a related field completed by start date.
- Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
- Prior Experience:
- Experiential knowledge of tribal language, culture, and lifeways.
- Experience working with tribal communities.
- Demonstrated experience in program management or program evaluation.
