Program and Grant Management (Principal Consultant #193)

Responsibilities

• Maintains and updates internal and external program documents, tools, records, reports, webpages, etc.
• Visits schools annually to perform compliance checks and works with ROE/ISC to complete compliance requirements and mandates
• Reviews and approves compliance monitoring reports
• Responds to issues of noncompliance
• Provides technical assistance by answering all questions regarding the registration and recognition process
• Manages MOU and intergovernmental agreements, data sets, and lists for internal and external use
• Participates in the programmatic execution of grant programs
• Responds to and participates in the investigation of inquiries and concerns from school districts, parents, students, the general public, and other stakeholders with respect to all areas of public school compliance
• Supports schools and districts seeking to remedy areas of noncompliance
• Acts as the Agency's point of contact on homeschooling

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree plus two years of relevant professional experience
• Two years of experience (in addition to education requirements) working in PreK-12 public or non-public school or district, a regional office of education, or an intermediate service center or state education agency
• Experience doing audits or compliance monitoring
• Experience working with data sets
• Experience with long-range planning and coordination of work
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to define problems and apply effective problem-solving techniques to complex issues
• Proficiency of Microsoft Office tools, including Teams, with experience supporting data analysis, functions, and reporting
