About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Program Analyst to join our team supporting the CECOM Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This role involves providing comprehensive program support functions related to Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases and weapon system management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, database management, and logistics support, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic environment. The Program Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of FMS case processing and reporting activities, contributing directly to mission success and national security objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program analysis support to Weapon Systems Managers (WSMs) for Foreign Military Sales cases, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency.
  • Maintain and update records, spreadsheets, trackers, and taskers related to FMS activities.
  • Extract reports and data from Department of Defense (DOD) and FMS databases to support case tracking and reporting.
  • Collaborate with team members and external agencies to identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and facilitate resolutions.
  • Verify the accuracy of reporting information, identify missing or inaccurate data, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Track changes and significant activities within FMS cases, summarizing key updates for management reports.
  • Support report generation and data input tasks, providing backup assistance as needed.
  • Compile source documents to enhance visibility and tracking of FMS case execution and status.
  • Update and maintain internal databases and Excel spreadsheets to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
  • Monitor and track deliverables, financial data, and logistical activities related to weapon system transfers, purchases, and leases.
  • Assist in developing and implementing logistics programs supporting technical documentation, transfers, and leasing activities.
  • Perform data entry, review reports, and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission and operational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) in a related field such as Business, Logistics, or Information Technology.
  • 0-5+ years of relevant experience in program analysis, data management, or defense support functions.
  • Experience working with various database systems, including proficiency in data entry, retrieval, and reporting.
  • Prior Department of Defense (DoD) experience is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and external agencies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate good judgment, and contribute to team efforts.
  • Willingness to travel, including outside the continental United States (OCONUS), as required.
  • Must be able to lift 15-25 pounds, stand, walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as twisting, bending, and squatting.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; US citizenship is a prerequisite.

Pay

Target salary ranges between $55,000 and $80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
