Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must become CPR/First Aid/AED certified
- Working knowledge of computers (MS Word/Excel)
- Outgoing personality
- Good communication & organizational skills
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License
- Successful background clearance
Responsibilities
- Assist with the supervision of program participants
- Provide guidance in after-school, summer day camp, teen and troop programs
- Aid in kitchen duties, preparation, serving and warming food as needed
- Assist in daily clean up in assigned work area
- Assist with various fund-raising events throughout the year
- Assist in securing of facility upon completion of programs or activities
- Maintain a safe and secure environment/property for all program participants
- Effectively enforce all center rules, regulations and policies, maintaining proper conduct
- Participate in weekly meetings to discuss program planning, accomplishments, concerns
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor as it relates to the position of Program Aide
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms on a continuous basis
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must have the ability to operate a telephone or a desktop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information
