Program Aide
Position Summary
The Salvation Army Northern Division Saint Paul Eastside Corps commits to "Doing the Most Good" by offering holistic, person-centered services including worship, pastoral care, food, clothing, utility assistance, housing support, and connecting with community partners. The Program Aide supports the community center's daily operations by assisting with recreational, educational, and outreach activities.
Essential Functions
Program Coverage & Check-In (25%): Welcome participants, maintain accurate records, and assist visitors during program hours.
Facility Access & Rental Support (25%): Open and close the building for scheduled programs and rentals, and monitor rentals to ensure appropriate use.
Program Setup & Space Reset (15%): Prepare spaces before programming and reset them after to maintain cleanliness.
Participant Safety (10%): Monitor spaces for safety, promote respectful behavior, and assist with de-escalation of minor issues.
Equipment Maintenance (10%): Care for and track equipment, reporting repairs or replacements as needed.
Community & Special Event Support (10%): Assist with event setup, logistics, and on-site support.
Activity Support (5%): Lead age-appropriate activities and engage participants in inclusive and mission-aligned experiences.
Wage
$17.23 - $18.00 per hour, 25 hours per week

Essential Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a community center, school, church, or recreational setting preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Possession of a valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.

Education and Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in a community center, school, church, or recreational setting is preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.
Driving/Travel Requirements
If MVR cleared, occasionally operate agency vehicles in support of program operations and organizational objectives.
