About the Role

UCFS strives to use person-centered care to improve the health and well-being of everyone in our community. We are currently seeking a Program Aide and Van Driver who will assist groups of seniors with program activities, provide personal care to clients, and offer transportation services for the seniors of the Adult Day Center.

Schedule

Full-Time, 35 hours/week; Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in and leads program activities at the center, such as exercise, activity set-up and clean-up, instructing clients in arts and crafts, group and individual games, and other special projects.
  • Ensures client participation and safety.
  • Provides van transportation for adult day center clients in accordance with policy and procedures established for the operation of center vehicles.
  • Assists with personal care needs of clients such as transfer, toileting, clothing changes, and showering.
  • Demonstrates quality customer service by respecting client’s rights, communicating respectfully, and understanding the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of the clients.
  • Treats co-workers, clients, and visitors respectfully, courteously, and professionally, addressing conflict in a positive and respectful manner.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience working with or supporting seniors.
  • Must be eligible for Public Service License to operate a passenger van.
  • HHA/CNA certificate preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to travel 50% within a UCFS-owned passenger van.
  • Basic computer skills for emails and trainings.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Receptivity to feedback and ability to take direction.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and provide mobility assistance.
  • Fluency in English language.

Pay

$18.20 - 19.20 / hour.
