Description Of Duties
- Teach assigned courses in accordance with the course syllabi and the schedule of the Respiratory Therapy Program.
- Teach fifteen (15) credit hours per semester and maintain a minimum of twelve and one-half (12.5) office hours per week.
- Develop and maintain course syllabi and materials.
- Teach collaboratively within the Respiratory Therapy Program to include: classroom, laboratory, pre-clinical/clinical components, and clinical supervision.
- Assist with student advisement and committee work for the Program and the College.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
Minimum Qualifications
- Baccalaureate Degree or working towards a Baccalaureate Degree.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) holding an active Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
- Four (4) years clinical experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Two (2) years' experience teaching in an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program, either as a faculty member or as a clinical preceptor.
- Light lifting up to 10 lbs. and light carrying up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to reach above shoulder.
- Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and stooping.
- Mobility to move from building to building on-campus and to visit off-campus sites/facilities.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree or working towards a Master's Degree.
