Duties/Responsibilities

  • Curriculum/course education development
  • Teaching courses in the entry-level and degree advancement BSRT programs
  • Working with clinical setting partners
  • Engaging in scholarship activities (e.g., peer-reviewed publications and professional presentations) related to the discipline
  • Engaging in service activities at the university, professional and community levels
  • Participation at the national and state level in professional organizations and activities
  • Contribution to community well-being through service related to professional and other expertise
  • Supporting the mission of the program and Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions

About the Role

The position is tenure track and will begin as soon as possible upon completion of the candidate search.

Requirements

  • Hold a Master's Degree
  • Hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and current Indiana state license
  • Have a minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care
  • Have a minimum of two (2) years of experience teaching, either as an appointed faculty member in a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor/preceptor for students of such programs

Pay

$66,300 Annual Salary

Schedule

Standard work hours are 8-4:30 Monday through Friday. Routine local travel up to a 75-mile radius of the USI campus to visit clinical sites is required.
